For Univ100, each person was to choose a campus resource, research it, and give an oral presentation to the class. I lucked out and signed up for the Japanese Garden near the dorms! I had to pick up some pamphlets for tomorrow's presentation, so Eirik accompanied me before class :D!

The Koi are -huuuuuge-, my god! Also smelly. ALSO...mob frenzy for morsels of food.

The first pic is of Eleanora and I after lunch at the Green Turtle. She's back in town for a few days this week to close out her projects after several weeks working off site in Arizona where she has relocated. She has been with the company for 10 years and decided in our recent reorganization not to reapply for a job. She's understandably excited about rebooting her life.

I have one more person from my prior team to see off this week and then I can mentally declare closure to the workplace circus of the last two years.

Amy and I went to dinner tonight at Zengo for my birthday. Pictured are our kobe beef appetizer cooked on hot stone and my teriyaki glazed salmon on peruvian corn. Fabulous...

My first class was yesterday, but it isn't a -real- class. Univ100's only benefit is that it's air conditioned >: (

Eirik came with me to pick up my books and hunt around for the location of the class, and then I dropped him off and headed back to the bookstore...because they cancelled my Univ100 for no reason at all and I had to make another trip before class started, bah! Not to mention they cancelled my Chicano Studies books too, yarghhh. Ill be picking those up later this week.

A good plus is after class Eirik and I went halfsies on House of Leaves, full-color Edition :D too bad there was so much assigned reading yesterday for me to read anything else >: (

My parents let me keep this phone, in addition to getting a sprint phone. These are pictures of my roommate and friends having a matress fight in the hall way. It started off as a chair fight. They were launching chairs at each other down the hall way...then matresses...then they were sledding on them down the hall. And then I pushed roomie down the stairs on one. Hahaha. Dorms+++ -sAmI k-
