Put $5 in a crane game. Won 5 items out of ten plays. I let them stack up in the prize chute and when I finally went to open it they almost blocked it completely. It made for a cool picture.

Maryland Renaissance Festival, that is. 100 degrees out here. Saw one patron in one of the shaded areas pass out. I'm sure we must have lost some performers in this heat. I am suspiciously ungarbed, as is my prerogative because I pay to get in. I think I sweated all my SPF 50 off about 2 hours ago. Procured two new bodices (had to upsize) from Moresca and a gorgeous new coat from Half Moon, where I was, not surprisingly on a day this hot, their first confirmed payment for the season. $400 later, I'm out of here to get a shower and some air conditioning. Check out the new signage, the Pyrates (+ Fifi, yay), the crowd Michael Rosman drew despite the heat, uh... pork rinds (?) and funnel cakes are back (!). I apologize for the hi-res; going on another web page, also.

So, got 12 pounds packed for freezing, and 2+ for use tomorrow. Now I've got to prepare 12+ pounds of fresh for freezing...but I'll do that tomorrow. :)

These are so fantastically good! We got a box roasted as we watched, and then got another 12 pounds fresh. Yum!
