Even more music!
Well, I am definitely itching this scratch (that is is my craving for music), though this post probably won't be quite as long as last night's.

The Steve Earle concert was incredible last night, as I expected.

Tonight, I am in South Austin, at the Saxon Pub. The Saxon is probably one of the best tiny venues to see music around here. It's small, dark, and smoky.

Tonight is the W.C. Clark Blues Revue.

From the web site:

"The Revue mixes Memphis soul hard Austin blues to create their own blend of blues."

And much to my surprise when I walked in the door, I found a flier for tommorow night's guest...none other than the Bastard Sons Of Johhny Cash. A little country (the old stuff), and a little rock.

Looks like a weekend of music for me. Definitely can't complain.

"I don't know anything about music. In my line you don't have to." - Elvis Presley

"the mandolin is the bottom four strings of the guitar, backwards...so a person with dyslexia has no problem learning to play the mandolin." - Steve Goodman

"Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?" - John Cusack (Rob Gordon) High Fidelity

- Phil
