Tricia threw me a grand final farewell party tonight at her gorgeous place. I kinda wanted to have a quiet going-away with some of the families I've grown close to down here, and she played hostess to carry out the event above and beyond my expectations. We had both fajitas and Chinese food, and the kids lasted four hours before the sugar and the company began to get the best of them. The guests were greeted at the door by Maui, an Italian Greyhound, and the Texas cookies came from Nadlers. The youngest attendee was 5 month old Tyler (Tricia and Wade's own, shown in the second shot with Amy). Older brother Carson cried out "Bevo!" when he opened the shirt I stenciled him (which I still think is some sort of new DVR each time I hear it), and I got a shot of him roughhousing on the floor with dad Wade. Tricia also got Nadlers to make a Texas-shaped cake with some chick driving a car off on it with a cat hanging out the window and an "I love my Spurs" bumpersticker. Avery sat at the table with her mom and dad, Lisa and Ashley, and enjoyed the cake, as did Zoe and Carson. After a chance encounter with a table, Avery reminded all of us that cookies make everything better, and, after opening some spectacular gifts which I won't go into here for fear of getting all weepy, I snapped a shot of the Bindseil males all tuckered out. They had a long day.
