I have no idea what the specials of the day are; for all I know I may have just sold my soul to some descendant of the Ming Dynasty. But it's worth it for the scrumptious food at the unfortunately named "Phoenix Cafe," which everyone driving by assumes is some new TexMex place. Their old ads only compounded the confusion; they had a steaming coffee mug on them, as if the were some deli. They've since updated their branding, and word has finally spread that this is the best Chinese place in San Antonio if you're into Hunan or Szechuan fare. --regan
