That's our ship pulling away from the last bits of Miami, about an hour ago. The buildings are just small blocks on the horizon now, fading into the grey distance. I can't imagine what this must have felt like hundreds of years ago, or even what it feels like for those Navy sailors who watch their families become smaller and smaller on the horizon as the carrier pulls away.
