| Family dinner... Wed 09.27.06 10:32am PDT #19361 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Went to Friday's (that's considered splurging =) ) for dinner, and to try out their fried green beans appetizer. As with all deep fried items that aren't chicken or turkey, after a couple of bites the oil kinda gets to ya... good sauce tho'... Even got the Tilapia free because they messed up the order! |

1) I was under impressed by the Fall Occoquan Arts Festival. The highlights were the combination public transport and parking enforcement (this being the first celebration post the new wider bridge over 123, which was lined with cars in years past) and this cool flower. Got a better shot, but my memory card hosed it. 2) Sugar had her first encounter with a cricket Monday night. She, unlike me, doesn't squeak when they jump two feet in the air, and chased it around the place all evening in and out of boxes as if it were a new toy. It finally escaped her clutches, but this evening I found dismembered cricket bits in the hall. It's good to see the cat act like a kitten occasionally, and even better to have a built in exterminator. I hope she handles spiders similarly. |

![]() ![]() Yes, another Woot purchase. This one is sub-par though. Whoever wrote the install for the software needs to call support and get it fixed. When it asked if I wanted to associate "Video files" with the Home Theater software I said not a chance. So instead it wiped out the current file extensions that were registered. And when trying to watch tv it would freeze and the led would turn red. I had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it working again. Oh, and sound quality was not so good. Lots of random crackling every few minutes. Although it might do the job for the amount of live tv I watch. We'll see after I do some more troubleshooting.... |
