Went to look into adopting a/some cat(s).

The Treehouse in Chicago is a very cool place. Open since 1971, they are a non-kill, non cage, home for kittys.

Very cool, I'm guessing they are currently housing at least 100 cats. For $75 you get a bag of cat food, a rescued cat that has been spayed or nutered, microchipped, and deemed adoptable.

It's the bargin of a lifetime!

The post title means we really enjoyed Jenny and Tony's wedding reception at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City. The wireless reception, however, was not exceptional--it was non-existent. So I didn't live blog as I had hoped for Jessica, who though a bridesmaid, couldn't travel from Texas as she's due to give birth in a month.

I met the groom Tony for the first time, and talked about photography with Jenny's dad Mike and the contract photographer Shane.

In addition to the classy table setting and traditional cake, I'm pictured here with the bride, and Amy's with Jessica's husband Jay. We left before most others to go pick up Cianna from her grandma's, so it'll be interesting to hear if there was any rowdiness after we left.

Got to visit today with a friend I've missed terribly while in South Texas. Her family's expanded since I left, but today was just Natalie and the Nikki, which was perfect for a quiet Saturday.

We had to miss Jenny's wedding ceremony due to childcare issues, but have now successfully dropped child off at grandma's and are heading north to Turf Valley Resort.

Another flight out of Oakland back to OHare to spend a few more hours in Chicago packing up the uhaul. Then it's on the road back to SF. Rubin was kind enough to give me a ride to OAK, sparing me the trouble of hauling luggage on muni and bart. I've got a PSP with episodes of Battlestar Galactica and and Nicole's old ipod loaded with her music. The flight should be enjoyable!

I'd like to point out how much I love the Habitat for Humanity stores. You get to buy stuff folks have donated that they can't use, so you're getting a good deal and doing a good thing at the same time. Can't get better than that. Shown at left are eight cans of paint for $4. Whee!

Sugar: Mom -- whereya goin? Shouldn't you stay here and clean? Regan: Nah. I gotta go see the kitties sleeping on altar cloths at 13 Moons and check out the frozen green tea at The Pink Bicycle Tea Room. And then come home and snuggle with the kitty. ;)

...so I heard. While the rest of the fam had off work and school, I went in to work and sat in five hours of vendor presentations. At least the long day ended with a nice sushi dinner.
