The fire alarms started going off a few minutes ago for some reason. I didn't see any smoke as I left the building or hear any screams. Mostly just people complaining about having to leave the building. We hung out in the parking garage until we got the all clear after about 5 minutes...At least I can say that something exciting happened today.
From "Ewwww" to "Ahhhh" in 10 seconds...

It was a big tabloid-sized wet spot that extended to my pillow case too. Cianna was next to me proclaiming, "I wet the bed!" My clock radio displayed 6:05 am. Cianna was sleeping next to me in our king bed since she's been clingy since mommy is out of town. I checked her diaper only to find that it wasn't soaked. Then I noticed the empty 8 oz. bottle of water by Cianna's teddy bear. She had asked for a drink in the middle of the night and I forgot to ask her to put the bottle back on the nightstand. She or I must have rolled over it in our sleep. Or maybe my daughter knew exactly what kind of wet she was talking about when she rousted me. Maybe we didn't roll over the now-empty water bottle. Maybe my daughter got me real good. Real good...

I'm prepared to be disappointed; nothing can top the Stacy Keach production I saw at the Folger almost 15 years ago now. But Nick Knight as the bad guy? Had to catch that.

Spent 2 hours scooping poop this morning. So glamorous. Best Friends sent out a call to help a lady in Oakton who rescues ferals. Has 40 of them. In a townhouse. I do not envy her, but they were very sweet. And there was some head scritching involved with the braver ones. As I left, I notice this was the cross street. I think she approved.

We had to settle for Virginia Grill, because Garden Kitchen and Blue Arbor were both closed. It was great to see them again. I miss them both.
