Got to the airport at 4:30 A.M. That's a little to early for me. I didn't think of Memorial Day as a big travel day, but there were quite a few people here this morning already. I take off tomorrow for one full week of vacation. I'm headed back to Idaho to see family and most importantly my daughters 5 year birthday party! She's gotten so big. Seems like only yesterday I was holding a little baby girl! --Nick Cates Sent Via My SK3

Spent part of Saturday at Savage Mill with Lauren in a belated celebration of her birthday. She turned me on to a great store called "The Queen's Ink," which I could have spent several hours in.

On an unrelated note, I've included a few shots of the Toaster Bunny in his natural environs (being cooed over in the palm of my hand). Check out the tail-lever action and the aerodynamic lop ears.

One of my favorite close by quick places to get dinner. Picture taken at 9 pm, so you can see why people stay out late here...the sun goes down late.

So last night was project grad...and I finally got to win stuff this year because I'm finally the graduate! Yay!!

So I won 6 tickets to the comedy club and a new bike! HOORAY!!

After lunch at Boston Market, we went to the 11th annual Wings of Fancy live butterfly exhibit at nearby Brookside Gardens' South Conservatory. The greenhouse full of North American, Mexican, Brazilian and Costa Rican butterflies opens every year in May and operates until September. This year, asian butterflies were added to make the representation truly global. Seeing all the cute kids with the variety of gentle butterflies, I wondered if there was a potentially dangerous species somewhere in the world. A probe into Google turned up flesh-eating caterpillars in Hawaii !

So I'm graduating from high school today. Yay I guess. I'm really pissed off though cause I can't graduate with my best friend, janna...because it's raining and they've now split our graduation in half. So I graduate at 6pm....which you can watch online at ccisd.net.
