![]() ![]() ![]() So I've been taking classes regularly for 2 (TWOOO) days now, andddd...:( already tired! Even though Katie so graciously gave me her parking permit, coming later than 7:30 means: no parking! I had no trouble tuesday, arrived at 7:30, but today for an 11am class I came at 10 and finally settled on meter parking for 5 bucks >: ( Also my loan came in and has been signed~ I'm fully paid off for tuition! Caught SuperBad today with Eirik and Casey at a 10:30 showing and it was SuperGood if I do say so myself~ MCLOVIN'! -- Teehee |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Denise, Laura, Kathy and I arrived at the Westin Waterfront last night right at dinner time. We all went our separate ways to check in, but some of us met up with old work buddy Liz K at the hotel bar for a couple hours of sharing stories. The Long Island Iced Tea I had really packed a punch so I stopped at that. This morning, I collected the last batches of e-mailed MIT staff and student names, registered myself and got close to 30 MIT people pre-registered in the system at the convention center for later badge pickup. Both the Westin and the adjacent convention center are only a couple years old. The interiors still have a newness about them. It was also a pleasant surprise that the convention center is the first in the country to offer free WiFi throughout delivered from something like 108 access points. Lunch was with Rachel at the Seaport Bar & Grille by the waterfront. - mike lee - boston |

Famousamos I am so sorry for your loss. When one of our cats passed away over a year ago it hit me really hard. I know hard it is right now. In my search afterward I found a website that helped me on some days. Others I didn't want to go there at all. I'm hoping it might be of some help to you. http://www.lighting-strike.com/forum/index.php |

| A Sad Day Wed 09.05.07 7:03pm PDT #21745 |
I wish my post contained a positive note, but I'm sad to say that this is not the case. Yesterday afternoon, the individual in this image was driving over 50 MPH down the alley adjacent to my home. Our dog managed to get out into the alley at the wrong time, and in an instand was hit by this individual's vehicle. Her bones were shattered, and saddly she had to be put to sleep. Dukessa, our dog, was just under a year - a German Sheppard mix with a coat reminisint of a hyena. I wish I could look past the anger and focus on the fact that Dukessa is in a better place, no longer in unimaginable pain. Yet, it was the individual's condecending attitude, and lack of respect, that trully sparked a furnace of anger in me. The authorities showed up, but sadly did not do a damm thing. Accidents happen, I know, but this guy was more concerned with his vehicle than the dog. He made sure to state that he would not do a damm thing - and as a result I now ask my self.... How much does he value his life?!? .... I could only be so lucky - RIP Dukessa. Ps... We'll be suing for damages and can only hope that some justice can come from this. Famousamos |
