On Friday night my mom and I left from LAX to Seattle to Minneapolis to Duluth, where I was picked up by my Aunt and her friend and driven into Ashland. Quite the trip.

We stayed the weekend, a house right off the shore of lake superior. It really was nice to see weather different from California's perpetual sunny skies.

But this trip was more business than for pleasure. Once Monday rolled around we went into the reservation/casino part of town and filled out my adoption papers for the Bad River Tribe. We hear back in November, and if I get in this could do wonders for my financial aid!

But I'm back home in good ol'e LA, and appreciate it so much more<3
