It's another beautiful day in SoCal...it's got to be @ least 75 degrees outside....what a contrast to the weather we had on Friday & Saturday.

Looks like the older couple next door might be getting ready to move...they're tenting the house, already cleaned out the garage and are doing some other fixer upper type stuff. The husband is probably getting ready to retire from a local utility.

My family is on the way to the best Chinese sit down eatery in the IE -- short for Inland Empire. More to follow.

Here are some pictures that I took while I was waiting for my flignt to leave from Ontario Airport (California)....Here are some cool pictures of marionette style puppets on display at the airport. The pics did not come out that well because of the reflection on the glass.

There's also a picture of George Chaffey who helped put Rancho Cucamonga (where I live) which is part of the Inland Empire on the map by innovations in city planning, subdividing, promotion, beautification, and most significantly irrigation for which the Chaffeys would become famous, were first tested in the Etiwanda colony. Chaffey was an experienced engineer, created a mutual water company and pipe system of irrigation that became the standard for water system management in southern California. Not set on just bringing water to the arid chaparral, Chaffey also harnessed hydro-electric power and on December 4, 1882, the first electric light glowed from Etiwanda; and four months earlier the first long distance call in southern California was completed between San Bernardino and Etiwanda. By 1913, the community boasted of paved streets, rock curbs, and streetlights quite a list of accomplishments for a small town.

I really LIKE traveling in/out of Ontario Airport -- new terminal was built a few years ago. There's no hassle in parking your car, checking in for your flight or getting your baggage. The old airport was very antiquated and small. My flight from Vegas to home was about 1.5 hours late due to bad weather in Salt Lake City (where the plane was coming from). It was a big suprise to see rain in California. There was quite a bit of turbulence and the visibility was very low when we got near the airport. It took me less than 30 minutes between the time I picked up my luggage and arrived home...(missing family who is out doing other activities...homecoming game & movies....sigh...). I don't have any special plans for the weekend because I gambled beyond my means in Vegas. I cannot go back there for many years to come.

I'm the last to give out the OFFICIAL PROPS to my team because I wasn't able to access my email, etc. for the last several days (see previous posting). Again, I'd like to say "Congratulations on A Job Well Done"...sounds like the front of a Hallmark card. Maybe the scavenger hunt can serve as a model for a "virtual" party for the upcoming holiday season of HipTop activities, who knows....

Here's the view overlook from my hotel room in Vegas. I am bummed because I haven't been able to get a decent signal for data since I have been here....but @ least I can still use the phone. The last session from the conference was a zzzzzzzz....the people sitting around me had a hard time staying awake and/or lost interest. Today's sessions (from reading the agenda) should be more interesting....

I was able to manage to get an AIM msg from the team Raven cap'n who said we DOMINATED the scavenger hunt...YIPEE!!

Thanks folks for blogging your objections to an offensive blog. You've shown more diplomacy than I would've. It feels good not being the "minority" all the time. I'm hoping that no more pictures of body parts are blogged which would normally be covered in an office-type environment or better yet not posting "things" of a nature that you would be ashamed for your Ma/Pa/Granny to see :)

Tomorow, I'm catching IFLYSWA for a sold-out event in Viva Las Vegas where I'm sure there will be plenty of photo opportunities in the surrounding areas to compliment T-Mobile's "reliable" coverage (half smiling).
