Doh! Here I am trying to install Tiger on my old iMac that I donated to the Lodge and it keeps spitting the disc out. Well I KNOW for a FACT that it has a DVD drive in it, why does it keep burping on me... Hmmm. Oh YEAH... I remember now. A couple of years ago my buddy had his graphite iMac modem burnout and I swapped mine for his seeing as how I was on broadband access and had no NEED for a modem. Well after a little bit of sleuthing on EveryMac.com, it turns out HIS model had a CDRW drive where as mine was the DV SE model with the DVD drive. Psshhhh.... 10.3.9 will just HAVE to do. Dang. Looks like everyone will just have to live without spotlight and dashboard.
