I'm not Catholic. I consider myself as definitely having God in my life, but not the business of religion (if that makes any sense)... But I can't help but mourn and pray for one of the last symbols of hope and true faith on the planet. Sure he was controversial, had hard stances on marriage, pregnancy, and celibacy for Catholics, but he was as close to a pure spirit as we've had in our lifetimes.
