Next book up: "Confessions of An Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins. It deals with a small, real-life cadre of individuals whose only goal is to subvert other countries and third-world nations to the will of a global empire (Ours). They do this by making these countries take out loans, via the IMF and World Bank, to fund modernization projects in their country. By making these nations default on their loans, they become dependent on the US and must offer either natural resources (Ecuador: Oil/ Africa: Oil, Gold, Precious stones/ etc.) and/or politcal sway in the United Nations. Guess who finally decided to fight back against us when we tried the same techniques on them and they realized they were being sucked dry? That's right, Iraq. They pose a threat to US interests only because we sold them the weapons, sold them the pipeline, sold them a couple of power plants and then got indignant when they wouldn't tow the line. No wonder we are loathed by most countries. Like Chris Rock said "America is like that Uncle that paid your way through college, but molested you." On the other hand, Mel Brooks said it best in History Of The World..."It's good to be the King." Get this book NOW, you won't regret it. *** In a truly mad world, only the mad are sane... - Akira Kurosawa***
