A few years back, when Walmart started to be a big deal, they cut a huge chunk out of the top of a hill made of solid rock and built one there. This was just before the SuperWalmarts began popping up... Not terribly long after the Walmart was built, a huge chunk of the rock wall that had been cut fell on the back of the store, or so the story goes. It was supposedly damaged beyond acceptable repair and abandoned. A scant while later, construction began on the new SuperWalmart that was to be erected just down the hill, in a much more visible commercial development. The old Walmart stands to this day, off in the distance, with the parking lot blocked off. I don't know... The back wall lookings pretty intact to me...
