rokkin!
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayThe second interview at Capital Photo Labs went just as well as did the first one -- spectacularly. It was basically an interview with the digital guy, who showed me their setup (and sexy Agfa processor/printer). He sat me down on one of their computers, gave me a nasty old photo, and wanted to see what I could do. So I broke it out hardcore -- I scanned it and adjusted levels and curves, then started attacking the approxiately 76290324 spots and holes and discolorations. He had a beeeeeyootiful 12"x12" Wacom tablet which I gladly abused. As I worked, the guy stood over my shoulder and watched, and we talked shop easily -- I dropped my prof Richard's name (as he advised, mind you), and he was enthused; we also talked about Polaroids, digicams, retro computers, linux, etc. I'm sure I made a great impression, and I'm 90% sure I clenched the job.

Boo-frikkin-yah.
