The second interview at Capital Photo Labs went just as well as did the first one -- spectacularly. It was basically an interview with the digital guy, who showed me their setup (and sexy Agfa processor/printer). He sat me down on one of their computers, gave me a nasty old photo, and wanted to see what I could do. So I broke it out hardcore -- I scanned it and adjusted levels and curves, then started attacking the approxiately 76290324 spots and holes and discolorations. He had a beeeeeyootiful 12"x12" Wacom tablet which I gladly abused. As I worked, the guy stood over my shoulder and watched, and we talked shop easily -- I dropped my prof Richard's name (as he advised, mind you), and he was enthused; we also talked about Polaroids, digicams, retro computers, linux, etc. I'm sure I made a great impression, and I'm 90% sure I clenched the job.
