| Ipod stereo & employees quitting Sat 02.11.06 8:23am PST #17155 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The saying when it rains it pours is in full effect this month. On the last day of my one person who gave notice last friday, I received this notice from someone else on my staff. So my feathers were pretty ruffled on Friday as I've gone from 4 to 2 people I now supervise, and need to quickly put bodies in chairs yet not hire total bozos who only end up causing grief. As such, I am here at work for my 4th weekend in a row as I seem to get nothing done all week with employees quitting. On the positive side, I get to hire 2 new people who I'll get to choose myself, I have a nice office with big windows, and my boss & his boss are supportive and know it's a rough time in accounting. And if I handle it well, in a month I'll have new people and look like the star who saved the day. Or the crazy guy whose burned out, wears a skippers hat and refers to accounting as the "S.S. Chris" and keeps declaring that I'm going down with the ship... one of the 2 outcomes. Kim bought me an inMotion Ipod stereo. I had silently pondered getting some form of an Ipod stereo but never acted on this urge. Somehow I transcended time and space, to another plane of existence where on a celestial level we communicated... and she went and got one for me for valentines day. It's even the one I would have got myself, as I really like the style of it. Everyone at work is jealous I think, or at least that's how I took their comments of "whats that". That said, enjoy pics of my office, the inMotion, the resignation letter. |
