After a late afternoon appointment today, I walked over to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art [1]. It's been a while since I've been there, so I quickly revisited some old favorites (most of which don't show up well on a hiptop since I can't use a flash there). I've always loved turning the corner and seeing this huge wooden Buddha (Amida, the personification of eternal life and vast compassion--not that I remember that, but I remembered to look this time). [2, 3 & 4] I don't know if you can see the headless statues between the trees outside the gallery [5], but it was an eerie night sight as I left.

I also popped in the nearby Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art briefly, but I didn't get many pics here either except for the spiders outside [6, 7] and a quick one of some Dale Chihuly glass [8].
