Wasn't as bad with the heat as I thought it would be....until the sun set and it got stuffy. Even the dippin dots started melting right away. But the fireworks were fun. Whew. Headin back to a/c!

Yeah, heat index of 109. By 10 tonight, it's saying that it'll feel just like 101. Ooh.

Missouri now has a law restricting sales of the active ingredient in my allergy medication (Claritin-D) because of meth labs, so I have to buy it at a pharmacy and show photo id and sign a logbook now (more than I had to do when it was still rx only). Sunday at 430, Target's pharmacy is closed. Can't buy it at the grocery store across the street from my place anymore since they have no pharmacy. So now I'm headed to Walgreens. Bah.

For a city where fireworks are illegal and in an area where there are no "official" fireworks shows, there have been three decent fireworks shows going on for a while outside my apartment window. The haze under the streetlights from the smoke is finally starting to clear a bit.
