Vicky's first color Sidekick worked fine right up until the day she got the recall notice from T-Mobile. Last week, her replacement Sidekick stopped backlighting when open. When fully opened, the backlight flickers out and the keyboard glows a brilliant orange.

So we called T-Mobile customer care tonight. T-Mobile transferred me to the Wireless Data Group (WDG). WDG transferred me to Tier 2. Tier 2 WDG asked me questions, had me do a hard reset, and took down the IMEI for another replacement. WOOHOO, Vicky's on her way to CSK #3.

With me on my second CSK and Vicky on her soon-to-be-third, I'm left wondering about "quality assurance." Please tell me it's getting better.
