First time I've left the house since Monday. Been stuck in a dark room coding java & oracle like a mad man 20 hours per day to meet a project deadline. Finally got it working an hour ago so I rode out here with my friend Estrella to the best Taco Bell on the planet (It's right on the beach). It's warm (70's?) and sunny. I might have to go get my surfboard and come back....

I don't know if these pics will come out, but there's a building here with a sign that says "warning pumps may start at any time." I'd never noticed the sign before, but just now these big iron portals just opened up and started pouring a huge flood of water out that cascaded through the sand to the beach. Can you imagine if you didn't know about this and were lying in its path?! -- Dav via Hiptop
