After dealing with traffic that could only be described as shitty. Including 90 minutes to go <15 miles right before I-80. I'm really hating indiana / ohio traffic.

Flash foward 10 hours, 1 tank of gas, miles of road construction, a car vs motorcycle accident, several tickets for state turnpikes, 3 tacos and a rhodiola later, I'm checking into our hotel at the studio suites in dayton.

Ohio is eastern time so we arrive at 1am, and have to get the key from an automated lock box. I find the box with a sticker with my first name on it. I know my last name there for am able press the first 3 ketters to open the box and get my key and room information.

I found the room and was pretty happy.

I booked this for $27 a night on hotwire.

Extended stay america hotel, full kitchenette (fridge+microwave+coffeemaker+stove) First cup of coffee is free too. Bonus! The vending machine is selling cups of dried ramen noodles too....it's almost like home!

Not too bad. I'm impressed. 2 nights < $70 including tax.

Now, I have to be up at 7am ( < 6 hrs ) to goto the Hamvention.
