We finally made it to the Hollywood Bowl last night. We missed the opening act -- Blackalicious. The other acts were afro-beat, hip hop, latin, funk & groove. I think Meshell Ndegeocello performed with Blackalicious. DramaKween was @ the concession stand to get some food before the next act. I guess we missed the opening acts :(

It was humid but with a slight breeze. I had left my SK camera in the car. Our seats were 2 sections above the orchestra. DramaKween came back with a big bucket of popcorn, after I gave her my preferred eats choices of either chicken or salad as I had been eating snack foods all day.

India .Arie was on stage for about 1.5 hours. She put on a good show with her band and said "thank y'all" a lot...I guess it's a southern thing. She performed a new song tht she's currently working on called "Look With Your Heart" and she also played one song on the flute which it seems that and she admitted tht she plays the flute "only for herself". She was the opening act for Sade Adu a few years back at the Hollywood Bowl and mentioned that a few times during her show. She was wearing a floor length white dress trimmed in orange and yellow. She cut off her dreds a few months ago and is sporting the bald look.

DramaKween had a good time and picked op a souveneir program & T- shirt. She really enjoyed hearing one of her fave music artists who is also a good role model, especially for girls/women.
