![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Viennese Metro System is called U-Bahn. And it rocks. U stands for underground. The service is the totally opposite to most of other metro systems e.g. NY metro or the London Tube for example. The Viennese U-Bahn by a single ride ticket quite expensive (if you do not enroll any package you normally fly senator class) but very safe, extremely clean, ultra fast, has short intervals (2-3 minutes) is nice to look at and very easy and convenient to use. And as we Austrians have ourselves not made (at least not recently) a lot of enemies by bombing, invading or otherwise mutilating foreigners in their country anybody is allowed to take pictures anywhere in Austria. Airports, Energy farms, cows, cops, the president or a bug, bikini ladies in front of a army post - you name it, it does not matter - nobody cares. There is no Homeland security watching our steps and no Quantanamo or DiegoGarcia recreation facility - opposite: We encourage any foreigner to come, stay as long (and expensive) as his checks or credit cards are ok, consume to the brim and take as many photos EVERYWHERE - we sell the film-rolls by the Kilo. On that occasion we od course do not hesitate to empty the pockets of the many tourists visiting us as good as we can (we also dont look the other site if we run in a local chap) by charging for everything as much as possible - but thats another story... -----Ende der Originalnachricht----- Boris Michael von Luhovoy publishing editor Palmtop-pro Magazin www.palmtop-pro.com Its like a backstage trip to the future |
