The sewage backed up in the basement at work. And apparently the freight elevator broke also. I actually walked through sludgey stuff coming from the breakroom. And this is the area that we store the produce. And I'm told this happens a lot, ever since they removed some sort of grease trap from the plumbing that used to be there. Eww.

The basement smells like rotting shit, I'm not kidding you. I was gagging, it was so gross. And the produce guys are just doing their job, like nothing happened. I mean they cleaned it up, somewhat. It's not like up to your ankles or anything. I just think that if the city were to do a drop-in inspection, I seriously doubt we'd pass. I was trying to take more pics, but some coworkers were giving me weird looks, so I stopped. This company gets weirder and weirder the more I learn about it. Raw sewage shouldn't be within 1000 feet of produce, let alone 5, imo.
