Two months back Mike Lee gave me three Yellow Arrows as part of a gift package.

At first I was very excited about the places I wanted to put them, that was until I read their terms of service and privacy policy.

Basically it says that they can use your cellphone number, email, or any other personal information that you submit, to inform you about upcoming Yellow Arrow events or related marketing surveys (read SPAM) and that at you can not opt-out of getting them, altho you may cancel your account at any time.

So when an opportunity for a arrow placement came up last Tuesday and I tossed it on this sign at the Poughkeepsie station on the Metro North railroad thinking about how much spam I potentially might get. I shrug it off and planned on giving myself a day or two to think about wether or night I want to participate in this social experiement. Then last weekend MWS came up for a visit and we ventured into NYC for the day. It just so happens that the Yellow Arrow I placed had be removed so for the time being I won't have random SMS's hitting my device.
