On the way back from Sac/Los Angeles, we got lazy and decided to check out a new resort/casion/spa I then Palm Springs/Cabazon area called the Morongo. WOW were we surprised!!

This resort is awesome! I didn't even do it justice by taking enough pictures because we were way too busy exploring it! All rooms (including your standard ones) come with flat screen HD plasma televisions, complimentary robes, and first class toiletries. And the beds! The best most comfortable one I've ever slept on... With hypoallergenic down pillows and comforters!

The gaming looks great although we couldn't do any since we had DJ, but the fitness facility probably puts some regular gyms to shame and overlooks the pool, which by the way isn't open yet but features a beach sand area and a lazy river with indvidual casitas/bungalows.... They have a spa, which I picked up a menu of services and they have the standard fare of massages and facials (which I hope to endulge in on a return visit). The nightclub and I think another restaurant and shop were still under construction.

Although the buffet only serves breakfast (for now) on Sundays, the food is very good! They offer cuisine from around the world and the desserts are gourmet to say the least! They have room service is 24 hours a day and excellent!

Seriously, this hotel is giving any of the major players in Las Vegas a serious run for its money... If you want to just get away but not experience the whole of Vegas this is the place to go. Plus they have a fabulous upscale outlet shopping mall called the Cabazon right next door.. We always stock up on our Nike and Coach items when we pass through. I Can't wait to get back!!
