  The battery in Shelly's Jetta died the other day, so I decided on getting an Optima red top to relace it. We've already had 2 VW batteries in it in 4 years, so we definitely didn't want OEM. The requirements for starting the Diesel are kinda high, so really the only aftermarket option is Optima. The new tech in this battery makes it about a 1/3rd smaller, and significantly lighter. It also withstands vibration 15x more than a standard battery, and is supposed to last up to twice as long as a standard battery. It's completely sealed, and can even be installed upside down or on it's side without leaking. Very handy if you happen to flip the car. Sleebus |
