Hiya! Here's one of the songs I'm playing in band. It's written by Ingolf Dahl. It contains 3 movements. The first movement, Introduction and Rondo, is very upbeat with quite a few 16th notes. At the beginning of this movement, there is an offstage trumpet trio. (three trumpet players playing their part out of sight from the audience). Then we have the slow second movement, Pastoral Nocturne. It's an extreme change from the first movement. Slower and quieter. :-D. it's my least favorite movement because it's got some weird harmony stuff at the end. And finally, we have the 3rd, and final, movement of the song, Dance Variations. Similar to the first movement, it has an upbeat rhythm. at the end..the trumpet trio exits the stage for another offstage part. The song ends in a pianissimo volume(extremly quiet). If you are musically inclined you'll noticed that in some of the pictures you can see a clef change. Bassoons usually play in Bass clef, but it changes into the awful clef of Tenor. It's a half step higher than treble clef. It's pretty much just a small torture device from the composer. ;-) Well...there's 2 more music summarys to come. EnJoY! :-) -sAmI-
