Today we gave a speech for elections, and we were planning on voting today....but noooo the band directors are dumb and are making us wait til Monday. This is a little how the speech went:

S: Fellow bandhallstonians, Today we come before you to remind you to vote for Sami Gilliam and Michael Fernando for Historian.

M: We are both juniors and have a keen knowledge of technology, graphical editing software, website design, and photography.

S: Michael has worked in the field of robotics since 9th grade and interned at NASA over the summer building spider robots which he had to make many digital presentations for.

M: Sami has explored a passion for photography over the last couple of years and is currently being offered an internship at UTMB next summer to work with a medical photographer. Both of us own graphical editing software, digital cameras which together total over 7 mega pixels, and own digital camcorders.

S: With our love of picture taking, combined with our knowledge of slideshow and website making, we will be the best Historians Clear Creek band will ever have.

Uhh....Thanks, vote for us.

Lol. So we were the only ones that had actually planned a speech out. So I guess that was alright. 2 of the teams that were running didn't even really give a speech....one of those teams played part of the slideshow from last year and said look! We have experience. Vote for us. And the other one of those teams made a movie last night called day 9. And it was like blahblah blah how will you be remembered when the music fades. And all that crap. It was pretty cool, but still not a speech. Another team that's running said they didn't wanna campaign at all just to see if they would win or not. Lol so they didn't give a speech. And the other team besides us that gave a real speech didn't really look like they knew what they were gonna say. And they kinda mumbled a lot.


So all in all....I think I may have a pretty good chance of winning. ...I hope.
