Today was the 90 yr anniversary of Cheerwine, invented and bottled here in Salisbury NC. Even though you can only get it in NC, SC, Ga, TN and parts of Ky, its one of those things that bring back memories of youth and good times. Oh its a cherry flavored soda but way better than Fanta or Shasta. If you ever get down this way I strongly advise it. They had a old delivery truck, a promotions 3 wheeled car with a cherry stem on top and plenty of other antiques. Ah, small town living, you can't beat it. --Larry

My girlfriend decided that she wanted a laid back Mom's Day so she chose to eat t Pancho Vilas! Not the greatest looking Mexican resturant but the food and the service is good. For being in a small southern town in NC, its nice to see the little bits of ethnic diversity here and there. They also have this big hand painted mural on the front of the building depicting the defense of Mexico City from Pancho Vila. I'm pretty sure there's only a handful of non-Hispanics here that actually know this but since my great-grandfather was Mexican, I always try to be somewhat knowledgable of my hertiage and pass that on to my sons. --Larry

So with my girlfriend @ work, me and the boys decided to go out to eat. Lo and behold they decided on Zaxby's. Not my first choice but it's Friday so what the h##l. Living in the land of tobacco and cotton it's really starting to get weird at seeing all the places that ban smoking. The dog in #2 would convince anyone to put their smokes out. #3 shows what their one and only speciality is: chicken, chicken, chicken(we don't eat pork or red meat but I do get a little tired of the ol' yardbird). They wanted to eat outside which was fun(even though the drive-thru line wraps around the outside dining area). Now I got to get a couple of hours of naptime before I go to work. --Larry
Happy Birthday!
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayMy girl took me to The Chessefactory for my birthday dinner on Sunday. They gave me this B-day ice cream, whipped cream and not-so-hot fudge concoction that wasn't really that good (I dislike whipped cream and fudge to highest degree). But it was the thought that counted. At least they sang that I was 21 and not 34. --Larry
Traffic Jammin'
So I was on my way home from another rousing night of 3rd shift and damn if there isn't a major accident on I-85. Took me an hour to move 2 miles and I still got 17 more to go. That SUCKS! --Larry

Hello everybody! My name is Larry and I live in North Carolina. Nothing much to say about myself other than I have two sons named Tyler and Jonathan and I have been looking for a place to post my pics and observations(my girl gets tired of looking at all the randomness haha). I have to take a pic of myself to post here but most will probably be of my kids anyway. So I had to go my hometown and I took my kids to see the church I went to growing up. Its on the historical ledger for being the first and oldest Black baptist church in downtown Salisbury. They've since buiilt a new church but I don't go and everybody seems to like the old better. PS I have a Suncom Hiptop 2 and I LOVE it! --Larry
