Just watched what might possibly be the best show on the Minneapolis Television Network, Totally Scrabble Tuesday is a community access show where the city of Minneapolis plays against the host in a disjointed game of Scrabble. If you are lucky enough to make it through on the phone line, you get one turn and then it is up to the next caller.

The joy of the show is that it is littered with technical problems, horrible audio, vulgarity, inside jokes and people that call in that are far from sober. It's live, so anything goes.

Callers are welcomed with "Hello! You're on Scrabble!" and usually they respond coherantly. One player wanted to play "BJ for Blowjob" with the letters but was turned down because it was an acronym. Another caller made a deal that if he played a word he would get the host to show his girlfriend in the studio for 5 seconds. When this happened the caller said he was wacking off and then they cut the call. While one caller complained about the "fucking audio" another asked if the host was "fucking drunk." Some of the players made good plays, surprisingly.

While the Scrabble Players Dictionary was used most of the game, at the end they allowed a caller to score a ton of points on "fuck."

Community access television at it's finest.
