This is one of the most famous if not the most famous General Store in Minnesota. It has been featured in a few films and is apparently the store that's in Lake Woebegon as told by Garrison Keillor (so I am told). My mother's cousin's family have owned it for many years.

It's situated in a small town called Marine on Saint Croix which has a library, a bar, an auto repair shop, an ice cream parlor, bank, church and elementary school. It is a rather nice area to live and has stayed rather rural so far although the Minneapolis/Saint Paul suburbs are starting to get really close to here these days.

Very nice place to stop off of Minnesota Highway 95 for a soda.
