My children get way too much homework. This is torture on them and on me. I don't think it is fair at all.

My daughter is turning into a young woman and that is torture for us both. She wants to be a child part of the time, but wants to be a grown-up the other part. We butt heads sometimes, but all in all, it is pretty good torture (I hear it gets worse).

It doesn't matter if you are a child or a parent, walking into an office of an elementary school can be torture.

Full parking lots are torture. It means you have to park on the street (horror - parallel parking) and walk all the way to your destination.

Ok, he really is called the principal. My kids do not go to Hogwarts or a prep school, but we already had a "P". Principals are torture simply because they are so scary. The one who sits at this desk one is kinda nice, but don't tell my children. It would ruin everything.

This fence in particular is torture. It is going up around the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. It will cut off the path to the Metro station to all of the neighbors in the area. It is being put up to stop terrorists from getting to the Antrax, MonkeyPox and Smallpox viruses that will be researched there. (and that is another story)
