my sweet ride

The woman was a nurse who drove it 90 miles each day to work. She had retired and was going to do volunteer work out of the country. She also had cats she was trying to give to someone. I ended up with the car.

In today's local paper, Marie was in a picture from Guatemala. She is working as a nurse in a Mayan village. Very cool, she sends back coffee that sells for $12 / lb. and all the proceeds goto the village.

Pretty cool.

This is a Team Associated RC10B4. I've got it powered with a castle creations Mamba Max, which means this buggy is good for about 60 MPH. No that's not scale speed, that's actual. Right now it's set up to run about 40 MPH. I ran it for the first time last night and it sure is a hoot. I actually blew a tire from centrifugal force. Whoops!

I'm still painting the buggy wing for it, so when that's done it'll have a more finished appearance.
