Wow....

this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayI can't front, I almost shit my pants today.

Even knowing that this is just a tragic accident which took the lives of Cory Lidle and others, it was still way too soon. The sentiments and emotions of Sept. 11th came roaring back with a vengance...

It started out as subtle whispers amongst employees, then customers started getting in on the act... Next thing you know, everyone is just asking outright for status reports. It was the same thing all over again. Everyone grasping greedily for any tidbit of information they could get about the accident... People feverishly mashing fingers on cellphones trying to dial loved ones or friends at home who were watching the news... And me in the center of it all with my SK3 showing customers and employees the first gruesome images of the accident that were just hitting the 'Net...

But I must say, there was no real panic. After the initial few minutes, it seemed to me that everyone eventually adopted a "Ugh, not this shit again" mentality which I found quite refreshing... Not 30 minutes later, everybody just goes about their business and the world keeps turning. Only in New York can you have a commuter plane slam into a residential high-rise post 9/11 and have everybody go "Eh, F*** it..."

R.I.P. to all the deceased, because it now galls me that this prick Lidle will be the feature point of this story, and the other victims will go on unacknowledged throughout history except by their loved ones...

Whew... Hadda get that off my chest. /rant

Minnesota's first snow was today. Here's a couple shots of it from White Bear Lake, MN. You can't really tell it's snowing but you get the idea. Last shot is part of what's in store for Saturday. If you haven't heard yet, party at my place on Saturday. Come on over and bring friends.

Today was a late start, but I stayed home anywayz. I figure its payback for having to go to school on columbus day >: (

We went to get my brother's car seat installed at the CHP. After that we hopped in my car and went to LA, then the Citadel and finally home. I'm so beat. I should probably start on my essay for tomorrow, also my test for jap >: (! -- Teehee

The one thing that put a smile on my face yesterday was my shirt arriving a week before I thought it would get here. Apparently I made the Friday cut off somehow. Big thanks to Imaginary Foundation for getting it out so quick and for offering unique shirts. If only there were some long sleeve ones! I also discovered Nik Ainley through them. Nik does incredibly cool work that's worth checking out.
