Tuesday morning, I felt the end of someone else's time as mine rushed forward.

I was on a stopover in Phoenix on my way to Orange County when I got a text message that my 104-year-old grandmother died at 10:45am eastern, which is just when my plane had taken off from Baltimore-Washington International. I managed to get a couple text messages out to acknowledge my brother and wife before the plane took off again.

The westward ascent through the cloud deck into the dark blue domed stratosphere took on greater meaning. I hoped that grandma was continuing her journey somewhere up above, and I also felt my future rushing towards me a little faster.

The last photo in this post is of my almost three-year-old daughter Cianna stroking grandma's (her great grandma) cheek the night before she passed. It's our last photo of grandma.

I'm jetting back a day early on Saturday to get ready for the funeral on Sunday.

Well 12-5pm today was exhibit booth setup time for our team and hundreds of other exhibitors. There were union cable riggers, carpet kickers, and forklifts everywhere. In pic 3-5, you can see the delivery and unpacking of 12,000 battery powered LED message fans at our booth. Pic 6 shows the ever-popular "giant colon" display at one of the health vendor booths in its fully inflated glory. I'm saving a special time for tomorrow to go in and feel the polyps. Pic 9 is the sign over the Nintendo booth where they will have a Wii on display as well as a kiosk of DS units hyping the Brain Age and Brain Academy games. Pic 10 is a closeup of one of the DS units with a custom video out cable that feeds two stacked 15" LCD displays to mirror what's happening on the game screens. Would be cool to be able to buy this...

The convention offcially starts tomorrow.

Matt was having trouble with his Blackberry Pearl and had to take it back to T-Mobile, and got a Dash . We will have to see how this work's out.

I give him 3-4 month's before he is back to the SK.
