The wife and I went to see The Lemonheads tonight at Emo's. She's listened to them since she was in high school and it was her first time to ever see them. I'm not as big of a fan as she is but I do like them and it was a good show.

The first opening band wasn't too great. They were your standard softcore punk and you could tell the lead singer spent more time picking his outfit than practiving his vocals.

The second band was great though. They were called Vietnam. They reminded me of a modern day Bob Dylan with really good guitar. Hard to explain but they were great.

Anyway, it was a good show. Sorry for the crappy pictures but it was a concert, they don't get much better...

On my way home from my early exit from jury duty, I stopped into Bed, Bath and Beyond to see what was out for their storewide clearance sale. While it wasn't on sale, I couldn't resist picking up the adorable Crane Hello Kitty Humidifier (with built-in nightlight!). Pix here show Cianna enjoying the water mist. I love how the mist shoots upward in two plumes from kitty's ears. So I couldn't resist adding two pieces of black gaffer tape to kitty's face to make ... Steaming Mad Kitty!

When I got to jury service this afternoon at the government building complex in Rockville, MD, there were surprisingly few people in the large waiting room. After a while, a woman in a business suit motioned another man and me into the front office. She announced that the reporting time on the summons letter was incorrect. If we had listened to the entire phone recording the night before, we would have heard mention of the time correction. What a surprise it was when she went on to say that for our trouble, we'd be excused from jury service for the next TWO YEARS! I said sweet, see you in 2010.

Set off my smoke alarm with the burning rice. This is why you shouldn't go do shit around the house when it's only got like 3 minutes left. I seem to do this about every 4th time I make rice on the stove. Someone get me one of those automatic cookers plz. At least I've learned to use the same pot, so I stop destroying all of them. One burnt pot is better than 6.

Its an air temp detection dealy thing, I know there's a proper name for it but I forget.. Its for finding the correct temp from vents or wherever.. Anyways, my supervisor was being annoying with it and I got a couple neat pics.. The one of him looks like he's giving me the finger with a beam of light!? The damn lazer beam better not ruin my fabulous sk cam! Sheesh! :)

Happy friday eveyone, enjoy the weekend!

I've been reading a few articles about the iPhone today and I keep thinking I may want one when they come out. I'll have to check one out in person though to see if the touchscreen keyboard is user friendly enough compared to the SK's.

One thing that bugs me about it though is why isn't Apple offering a version with more storage? Granted it's a cell phone first and 8GB is a lot of storage for a cell phone but it's also a video ipod. Of course that option may come later and I really hope it does. A 80GB or 120GB iPhone would definitely find it's way into my hands even if it was several hundred dollars more than the regular one...

Of course it may not even be called th iPhone since Cisco is still claiming they have a trademark on the term iPhone...
