So we made it to Dallas, after losing 2 buses once, and then 3 busses took a wrong exit later. And we only had 4 busses total. Our bus was the only one who never got lost. And then we ended up stopping at our dinner place instead of going to the hotel first so then we went to the hotel and they were like we're not ready for you...so our band director was like there are some shops this way lets go kill time...so we started walking....for 10 minutes...up hill....before he told us there weren't any shops so we walked back to the hotel. I'm pretty sure this isn't a band trip and it's really fat camp. So now we've taken over the lobby. 200 band kids being really really loud and watching tv at the highest volume in this rather nice hotel. :) woooo! -sAmI k-

Damn the Sidekick for saying mail could not be sent, or should I damn T-Mobile's coverage in my area.... or maybe just maybe... should I just damn the man with plan and the Sidekick... Having finished my year as ER (just check my back posts in July for the meaning) the last order of business is to retire my picture that has been on display at the entry way of the lodge from April 06-07 to the wall in our meeting room with photos dating back to 1952. A lot of faces, a lot of names.
I have spent many a time looking at those faces drawing inspiration from them over the course of my year, and now- I am one with them. It was a long year, one that truly tested my metal and in the end, I can say through the good and bad, I weathered the storm OK.

Wish I found this magazine a week ago.

I had kicked around the idea of a new tattoo while in Houston. I had wanted some stars done for a bit, so I printed out my designs and hit the streets earlier this week. No luck, didn't like the peope places and or prices.

Today I had ctually left after my pool party to find Ice Age, the night club owned by Mike Jones. It was a fruitless trip. Luckily though, the glowing neon of Space City Tattoo caught my eye.

The front desk chap was friendly and quoted me a price that warrented me asking if that was for both. It was. Horrah!

Overall a great and memorable experience. The highlights being: 1. Took almost 4 hours. 2. The place was all hispanic gang members 3. at one point a crack head came in and they paid him a meager wage to wash all the windows. 4. My tattoo artists first conversation piece was "I just got out of jail yesterday". 5. The other artist was tattoed head to toe, literally, with such things as the Cadillac logo on his check, and an H under his eye for Houston. 6. We listened to hardcore Houston based rap very loud the entire time. Even I blushed at some of the content.

In the end, I got what I wanted, had a memorable experience, and paid dirt cheap. All in all a great way to wrap this trip up.

Finally treated myself to some bbq. Found a mighty fine place I reckon. All Texas lookin'. Also here's
