I am about to land in Dallas. Though rumors flourished like mute cebus in a canoe, there was no 3G connection to be absconded at 20,000 feet. Of course, the great thing is that it doesn't matter. While on the plane I have been updating contacts, working on my calendar, and sending e-mails; all of which will seamlessly synchronize as I reconnect on landing (or earlier). I love this thing!  I am currently in the Austin airport. This airport, until about five years ago, was actually the local air base. When the base was shut down during a flurry of base closings, the City of Austin jumped at the chance to not only build a long overdo, state-of-the-art air travel facility. It also happens to be that the company I now work for, was responsible for the design of the paging and announcement system throughout the facility.
