Bob, our staff construction project manager (no, we don't call him Bob the builder), gave my business admin team and me a tour of our new office space this afternoon. Something like 170 people are moving into two floors which will be completed at the end of March. 1) Actually a temporary space on another floor that has a similar layout and color scheme 2) What will be our big board room 3) Open cubicle space 4) The office of the Prez...the only way in is through her assistant's office 5-7) A pano of our web team's area still awaiting dry wall. We have to fit 50+ people in here.

We got home tonight to admire the new gate that closes off the breezeway between our house and garage. Built by our friend Bill and installed by him while we were at work, the gate completes the high wood fence that surrounds our yard. Now our child and dog won't be able to wander out. As with any construction Bill takes on, the gate is expertly crafted to micrometer accuracy to match the existing fence. Even the screw nails are wood colored! This work of art will probably outlast the house.

My daughter was freakishly happy about Monday morning, cheerfully saying "hi" to co-workers on the elevator as we made our way up to my office to drop some bags off. She's pictured here trying out my chair for size. Then I walked her over to daycare, signing the "Butterfly" book at the desk, and stashing her coat in her "Cianna" bin. Back at the office, I put out clementines and candy for Chinese New Year. Later in the afternoon, I demoed Robosapien V2 at the beginning of our staff meeting. Other than the pictured, it was brain-twirling project meetings the rest of the day.

Happy Chinese New Year!

We did do a little family gathering at my brother's house yesterday for new years, but we were really planning to see the big celebration in D.C. next weekend. To our surprise at lunch today at Ledo's Pizza, we saw a Lion Dance across the street at Hollywood East Cafe. I ran over with my camera and documented the action. Nice preview of next weekend.

Belated, network-stalled photos from our Friday night visit to Woomi Garden, the Korean Grill & Japanese Sushi Bar near our house. I had the Korean Grill, and Amy ordered sushi. Both dinners were great and we liked that the place was family friendly.

This another restaurant we can mark as visited on the list of local ethnic eateries.
