How Was Your Day?
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayTony and I had just finished taking in eight solid hours of vendor technical presentations yesterday, and were walking down the Red Line platform at Gallery Place to meet up with my wife and daughter who were waiting there. Spotting me, baby Cianna screamed, "daddy!" I told her to say hi to Mr. Tony, and she proudly proclaimed to him, "I pooped in the potty today!" Quite a shift in conversation from design-side content rendering and n-tier architectures.

A cold front blew through last night bringing us steady rain today. Cici opened her frog umbrella as we headed out to dim sum brunch at China Chef.

The post title means we really enjoyed Jenny and Tony's wedding reception at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City. The wireless reception, however, was not exceptional--it was non-existent. So I didn't live blog as I had hoped for Jessica, who though a bridesmaid, couldn't travel from Texas as she's due to give birth in a month.

I met the groom Tony for the first time, and talked about photography with Jenny's dad Mike and the contract photographer Shane.

In addition to the classy table setting and traditional cake, I'm pictured here with the bride, and Amy's with Jessica's husband Jay. We left before most others to go pick up Cianna from her grandma's, so it'll be interesting to hear if there was any rowdiness after we left.

I've posted a few pics in a Flickr photo set.

We had to miss Jenny's wedding ceremony due to childcare issues, but have now successfully dropped child off at grandma's and are heading north to Turf Valley Resort.

...so I heard. While the rest of the fam had off work and school, I went in to work and sat in five hours of vendor presentations. At least the long day ended with a nice sushi dinner.

She said: "Can I have it?"

He said: "Sure, if you let me take some pictures."

We got to our local polling place soon after it opened at 7, and there were only about a dozen people in line. We were done in 15 minutes! There will be a mob this evening, but they'll have to stand out in the cold rain. Now back out into the foggy morning to drop the child off at grandmas, and then head to work.

Thursday night saw a little rip in the fabric of space-time as former co-workers and boss mingled with the current at Fado Pub to bid farewell to Liz, who, after seven years with our team, is relocating to Boston. Liz saw wave after wave of change in our group, sharing the last three years of it with me. As her manager, I signed her exit papers Friday and watched as she passed through a stream of hugs and goodbyes at the end of the day. Liz won't be far away in the electronic realm, but I know I'll have to deal with a week or two of phantom limb syndrome walking into to her old office expecting her to be there.
