I finally made my pledge on the American Lung Association of Maine's Trek Across Maine page in support of the proprietor of this site, MikePop. He's on his third day biking, and hopefully enjoying some early rest stops.

Steve Jobs reportedly said that the best way to get an iPhone is to avoid the mobs at the Apple Stores by going to an AT&T/Cingular store at 6pm on June 29th. Even with 170 Apple and 1,800 AT&T stores, everyone is predicting long lines of geeks camping out to avoid the shortage that is sure to follow.

My current plan is to go into work that day to attend a staff meeting until noon and then head out to the AT&T store on Rockville Pike (pictured) across from White Flint Mall in North Bethesda, MD. That's the location closest to my house. There's plenty of parking, and some of the stores nearby should have restrooms and food to buy. Now I need to find another crazy person to go with me.

We set up the "Bounce Mania" inflatable moon bounce from KB Toys in the backyard today for Cici. The thing sells for a little over $100 and is made of the same material as those inflatable Xmas decorations. It set up as quickly as those--in about 10 minutes. Cici didn't play in it as long as we thought. We think having other kids in it would make it more exciting for her.

I see elsewhere online that there are some amazing options out there for nflatable bounce products.

Cici got a routine blood test this afternoon. She cried for just a few minutes and then made out like a bandit with Dora stickers and Cheetos.

Our company cafeteria changed vendors a couple weeks ago. There's a fresh coat of paint and a more sophisticated menu. I'm having two dishes from the "Pan Asian" counter, Asian crab salad and teriyaki steak wrap. The wrap was soggy, but it sure beats food ladled from a vat. And I've signed on to pay with a "speedpass."

Also, my boss finally announced via email blast to our group last night that I've been rehired into one of the new director positions. Woo hoo.

After spending the day photographing various rooms inside Bube's Brewery in Mount Joy, PA, owner Sam Allen arranged for me to stay overnight in his newly renovated third floor theme motel. I sleeping in the "Good Princess" room...

When my next door neighbor saw I got the new Canon TX-1, she wanted to know if I would sell my old Canon A620 to her daughter Rachel. I was miraculously able to pull all the accessories together last night and went over with Cici to make the delivery. Cici came away with...a bag of toys!

Gamestop in Rockville, MD had a big bin of new overstocked UMD movies for the Sony PSP on sale for $4.99 each! I bought a bunch.
