![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dirty's Tavern and a lot of fun. Sometimes I think we lose sight of how much volunteer work you can do. As of late it seems my life can be consumed by such. It is great to get away and spend time being yourself, at least that is what I felt tonight. I believe that at times we can get sucked into a "world" in which there is no end to the madness. But then if you stop and say "hey, no more today, this is yours to look out for and care for", I think we all need that. One person can do so much. Enjoy the night, enjoy the friends, ENJOY the family that you make. The world will happen, life will go on, but where will you be when it all stops? Fortune smiles upon those that make it happen, but it doesn't have to be your life. |

| iTunes iMix feature rules Fri 06.10.05 9:56am PDT #13971 |
![]() ![]() ![]() I got to say that I really dig the iMix feature in iTunes that lets you put together a mix and publish it on Apple iTunes music store. It was a nice break, and I hadn't really busted out some of the music that were in my mixes. That is the beauty of music, it something of a time machine in that it can bring back and if not place you at a time and a place long since gone. |

A Shanghai man was sentenced to death Tuesday after a dispute over ownership of a virtual sword in an online game led to a real-life slaying. Shanghai Number 2 Intermediate People’s Court gave online gamer Qiu Chengwei the death sentence with a two-year reprieve after he slew another player, Zhu Caoyuan, last October, according to a report published Wednesday in the official newspaper China Daily. The pair had argued over ownership of a virtual sword that Qiu and another player had won in the online game “Legend of Mir III.” Qiu loaned the item to Zhu, but Zhu then sold it for 7,200 renminbi (around US$870). When Qiu tried to involve the police in recovering the item or the money, he was told that such virtual items are not protected by Chinese property laws. After Zhu refused to return the item or pay compensation, Qiu went to his home and stabbed him in the heart, according to the report. |

| A clean spot... Wed 06.08.05 1:12pm PDT #13949 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() At first glance one might say "Clean spot?!...WHERE?" But truthfully, I cleaned out a corner that was occupied by our "interns". In doing so, I found more wall space and my wily and elusive yet playful file cabinet. I honestly forgot it was back there. It was almost like a two for one sale on turkeys after the holidays. I don't really need both, but hey- if it's free, hook me up. |
