My buddy Brady who owns an outdoor shop called Stillwater Summit Co. brought me by some sweet new Reef Fanning flip flops. What is really kick is the bottle openers in the soles of the flip flops.
No longer will I be part of the "...stepped on a pop top, blew out my flip flop, had to cruise my way back home..." crowd. I instead will intentially be stepping all over the "pop" top.
My week is looking up already!

We held our Rod Run over the weekend. The weather was great. Not too hot with a slight breeze. That and we held it in our pecan grove out back, so that really helped in the comfort area.
Pat's 1960 Delivery was in the top ten out of 78 entries. Pretty impressed and proud. It was a great time. Nice to be outside enjoying the day and cooking up burgers.

No we certainly are not. We lost connectivity an hour ago. The only outage they see was in "HOUSE-TON" and we are no where near "HOUSE-TON". The suck part is when EVERYONE else comes in to inform you that we are not connected to the internet, and want you to push the magic button to get it up and running. For some reason, the artists are the ones to blame.
Beat it brown eye, I am trying to resolve the issue, and YES, I am very much aware we are not connected.
So here we are with an unresloved ticket awaiting a tech visit. Time to break out the PSP.

We are holding our annual Rod Run tomorrow at the Elks Lodge, and a good friend of mine Pat Pittman (Spanky) has been working on a 1960 Chevy Delivery Sedan. He asked me what the cost of making a one-off shirt with his car would be. Well normally you would have to have a minimum of 36 shirts and THEN you would have art cost, and print cost. BUT, since he asked nicely, I surprised him with a couple of shirts.

He told me he had the Delivery in his shop and was working on the transmission. While he was at lunch I snuck in and grabbed a couple of picts of it, and then redrew it using the ol' wacom tablet and the Bezier tool. Add some lettering and *poof* (read *poof* as a good day and a half of drawing and designing and me bribing my print shop manager into setting up the presses for 4 shirts) you got yourself a one-off shirt just in time for the Rod Run. Turned out pretty sweet if I do say so myself.

One of my neons in my office had a bad switch and needed to be replaced. Instead of using a chain pull switch, I opted for a more reliable toggle switch. Now that it has been installed, I come to find that the hole in the housing is too small for my switch to fit through. I don't have drill bits big enough to widen the hole, nor do I have a file handy. It may not look pretty, but it works.
Now I just need to figure out how to fix the top part of the sign. One thing at a time...

Ok. I understand the whole zombies thing. If you are unfortunate enough to get bit by a zombie, you BECOME a zombie. I get that part. And mind you, I am not harshing on George A. Romero or any of his movies. I just got to thinking and pondering the whole zombie thing. This time around, the zombies can "communicate". Well, wouldn't that just mean that they aren't dead and are simply oh I dunno... in another state of being? At what point after being bitten do zombies Not desire to eat the flesh from your bones? So if you were being eaten by zombies, and you got to the point where you became zombie, would they all of the sudden stop eating you and be all "oh hey! What's up man? You hungry? Lets go find some living people and chow down!" And this whole communication aspect makes me wonder that if they can communicate, would that not eventually lead to social structure and "All You Can Eat" buffets? Maybe I am just over analysing this whole zombie thing, and I should accept zombie for what zombie is...zombie. Wait... I think I confused myself.
