![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Planning and organizing and planning and talking and talking and answering questions....... I have come to the conclusion that no matter how hard you try to answer EVERYONE'S questions week after week, there really is no end. It's been 5 months since I assumed my position and have instigated my "plan of actiion" and I am getting close to making my mission statement come to fruition, which is good. I was writing my articile tonight and realized that at some point I lost my sense of self. Organizing Veterans activities, Youth Activities, and maintaining the business aspect of the Lodge, along with the promotion, graphics, and webpage, it's a wonder why I am so frickin' tired much of the time. The end result? The people that you help and the selfless giving has a return worth more than gold.... But it does tax the energy. Burnout? No. Tired? Yes. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My pepper plants that I bought earlier in the season started to fade out on me and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. I put them in the best potting soil, I water them, I give them all the sunlight they need, yet they kept wanting to fade on me. So after doing some research, it turns out that pepper plants are in the same group as tomatoes and need phosphorous. My only worry is that they might be overfed and become very large and leafy as they have been doing, and not producing any peppers. I think I am going to try this for another week or two, and then go to the Mill and get a more specific fertilizer that will cater to plant and hopefully get some peppers. At any rate, watching the peppers bounce back and become full and healthy is still nice to see. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dinner and fun. Ragan's wife Melisa showed up and my buddies Jerry and Patrick from No Justice showed up. Red bailed early, but it's been great hob knobbing with everyone. |

| Youth Day at The Pool Mon 07.18.05 7:29am PDT #14528 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We held our first of many Youth Events of the year out at the pool where we cooked up some hotdogs and handed out chips and drinks all for free. We had a great turnout, and it was fun to have all the families come out and bring the future to enjoy some sun and fun. I don't know if our lifeguard realized that we were hosting this event, but seems to work well with kids. Great relaxing weekend. Well needed. Got mucho mucho drawing to get done this week, and meeting almost every night. Planning ahead to take Friday off to just relax and maybe get some home projects completed. |
| I am so hungry I could eat Arbys Fri 07.15.05 1:49pm PDT #14490 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I normally don't enjoy Arbys, but Ragan was hungry for a sandwich, and I had half wanted to try their new Sirloin Steak sandwich (which by the way was awesome). We go through the line and order, and this little girl behind the counter takes my order, gives me my total, and before swiping my card asks if I had a Stillwater's Finest card, shaking my head I say no, but thank you for asking. She then asks if I have a student ID, again, I shake my head. Once she had exausted all her efforts of trying to take 10% off my meal, she swipes my card with a slight head shake and a "what a shame" look and adds, "the next time those cards come around, you need to make sure you get one. Those things save you money", I smile and tell her that I will make sure to pick one up the "next time" they come around (honestly, I don't even know what she was talking about). Now here is the good part- she looks up with a beaming smile and responds with not one, but two "Amen" as she turns to fill my order. It's friday... AMEN....AAAAMEN.... |
