Got the blue lines sketched in. Getting the rough pencils in place. This should be a fun one. Going to add several elements that are key to Dirty's Tavern within the illustration. Monday looks good for completion.

THIS is a nice break from the triple digits we have been seeing here, but this IS Oklahoma, and the summer has not EVEN begun to show us what hot is.

Finally. Color is added and getting close to putting thios project to bed. Turning out pretty good. Pleased with the progress thus far.

Closed down and now the owner of the building is having his 40th birthday party here as a last hoo rah. There are soooo so many memories here.

The bricks on the walls were all painted by me. What is truly sad is the fact that the huge murals that I had painted on the walls have been painted over. Many hours of work, and a lot of love went into those projects.

What is so good is that the old guard was here for James Cauley's party. this place is going to become apartments. Sad. But the cool thing is the band bricks are going to be clear coated as were the logos (if the hadn't been painted over) with the stipulation that they never get harmed or defaced. This is history. Yes, many of you may not even know who Cross Canadian Ragweed are or who No Justice are, and many, many more, but this is the place where they cut their teeth. To see them BEFORE they made it or nefore they had a following was an everyday deal. Now? History has been preserved.

The sides are where they ding you. Good lord. Ragan opted to save money and just ordered the- what would you call that- a mini drink?? Well anywho, he saved something like 70 cents.

On top of all that, I take a drink of my Diet coke, and I just couldn't put my finger on the funky taste and smell. Well if you read my post a while back when Johnnie's first opened, you will remember that the Diet Coke was actually Diet Coke with Lime. Well, seems that it still is and it still taste like butt.
