Dragged myself out of bed this morning at 5:30 and hopped on my bike...crossed the golden gate bridge and rode to the top of this hill overlooking the city and the bay for breakfast and the sunrise. It's overcast today so the sky isn't pink and rosy like it was the week before. Think I will make it my new year's reolution to do this once a week or so...

hi mena, I think the cam seems to work best in bright light, especially outdoors on sunny days...about 6-12 inches away from whatever you're snapping a photo of. If you hold your breath before pressing the capture button then landscape shots come out nicely as well. :-)

Up at 4 am sunday morning for a daytrip to Tahoe. 36 inches of fresh snow fell the night before making it a perfect powder day. Though getting stuck in it with a board strapped to your feet is like being stuck in quicksand. The harder you struggle to pull yourself out the deeper you sink. Very sore and achy today.

This is the new Gehry-designed titanium clad concert hall under construction in downtown LA....getting the project built has been a 10 year process. It will finaly open in the fall.

Was in LA visiting mom and grandma for the holidays. These "No Cruising" signs have popped up along my mom's street in recent years. Not sure why since I don't remember anyone ever "cruising" on our street when I lived here.

1. What is up with the bad ass dragons flying around scaring the shit out of everyone? I mean, what is the POINT of looking so damn bad ass if you're only going to flinch and fly away scared when poked by a single arrow?

2. Why does the blond elf guy never sweat? Or get dirty? I know if I were running around like that, never brushing or washing my hair or putting it up in a ponytail, I'd have a rat's nest on my head by the end of the week...or at least by the end of the first battle. (also, didn't he used to be in REO Speedwagon?)

3. The skinny schizo creature with buggy eyes that crawls around on all fours...he has got to be Yoda's little brother with a heroin problem.

4. Why do all the bad people have such scary teeth, while all the good people have perfect straight teeth? I'm thinking specifically of ghastly-goth-guy-with-greasy-hair. Is it that the good guys are more conscientious about brushing and regular checkups? Have better access to Crest and Oral-B? Or were just lucky and affluent enough to have gotten braces in childhood?

5. Why haven't Frodo and the other hobbit kissed already?? They are JUST dying to. I know it.
